I actually made this two years ago for SDCC 2010 to wear with AK’s Dr. Girlfriend costume; however, aside from the crown and leotard, I wasn’t able to finish the rest of my costume in time before my flight to San Diego. To this day, I still have yet to finish the boots, gloves, and choker.
One of these days, I’ll get around to it. Though at this point, I’d want to redo the leotard and the crown, so the issue is not so much about finishing a couple of accessories, but remaking an entire costume.
These are my grown-up dilemmas.
So Supanova was fantastic this year at the Gold Coast. General 21 (and the possessed skull of 24) and Dr Girlfriend from The Venture Bros. made an appearance. A tonne of people really seemed to love the costume and got a tonne of photos taken. Also, if you were there and got smacked by my wings, I apologise.
My main goal of the con was to not be “that guy”, the one with the giant winged cosplay that was always getting in other peoples way. I feel I was able to work around this by shuffling to my side for most of the day. Now I gotta go into the regular post-con coma and start planning for Bris’Nova at the end of the year.
Starbot was Dr Girlfriend.
new photos of my Hench(wo)man 24 costume taken by the AWESOME Charlee!
he’s always a blast to work with..I cant wait to shoot with him at Fanime :D
It was over 100 degrees where I was so you can see the obvious sweat on my face. I was also a few pounds heavier so that is also apparent!
Regardless, you can get a better view at how large my wings are compared to my body xD
Why is it every time I need to get somewhere, we get waylaid by jackassery?
