So, okay I know this isn’t an illustration but it’s my first serious cosplay! I made the costume myself (with some help from my mom and my awesome roommates Ilana and Mady) and I’m really proud of it.
If ya can’t tell who the heck I’m supposed to be, I’m Hank Venture as Wonder Boy from the Venture Brothers.
I wore this at New York Comic Con this year. Not a lot of people could figure out who I was (I got a lot of “Rainbow Bright’s” and “Gay Robins”) But when people did know, they got excited…and I feel I should mention Doc and Jackson complimented me on it during the Q and A portion of “Let’s All Smoking!”
Adult Swim has released their official schedule for this year’s NYCC which of course includes an appearance or two from hometown heroes Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer. First off the yearly panel will happen on Friday, October 12th from 5:15pm to 6:15pm in the IGN Theater. The panelists will of course be Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer, co-creators of Venture Bros.. If that’s not enough there will also be a signing from 12:45pm until 1:45pm on Saturday, October 13th in room 1E17. Again that’s with Jackson and Doc. There’s always the possibility of a second signing with Entertainment Earth, but there hasn’t been any mention of it yet. Stick around for news on that and any other potential events though.
